Monica McHenry's Speech Research Laboratory
The Speech Research Laboratory in the Department of Communciation Sciences and Disorders at the University of Houston is equipped to study phsyiological aspects of normal and disordered speech and voice production using the following software and hardware:
- Computerized Speech Laboratory MultiSpeech and Multi-dimensional Voice Profile – acoustic data acquisition and analysis

- TF32 – acoustic and aerodynamic data analysis

- Glottal Enterprises electroglottograph – depicts vocal fold vibratory patterns

- Glottal Enterprises oral nasal system – captures oral and nasal airflow and provides feedback regardign nasalanse.

- Glottal Enterprises vented airflow mask with pressure and flow transducers for inverse filtering of airflow signal.

- Nasometer – data acquisition and analysis of acoustic aspects of nasalance

- NIMS respitrace – noninvasive estimation of lung volumes

- Ohmeda OxiCap monitor – Measures O2 saturation and partial pressure of CO2 during speech and singing
