Katherine Ermgodts M.A., CCC-SLP

Externship Coordinator and Adjunct Lecturer

Katherine Ermgodts is staff speech-language pathologist and adjunct lecturer.  Her responsibilities include providing speech-language evaluation and treatment to a variety of clients, both children and adults, in our clinic and in the community.  Services in the community include; speech and language therapy for various preschools, screening services for the Head Start program, speech and language services and consultation at the University of Houston Charter School.  Ms. Ermgodts also coordinates the externship program for graduate students. Her professional interests include early identification of language disorders, supervision, and language learning disabilities in adolescents and adults.

Ms. Ermgodts earned a Bachelor of Arts in Audiology and Speech Science from Michigan State University in 1991.  At Michigan State University she completed an externship that focused on providing speech-language services in the public school system.  She attended graduate school at the University of Houston and completed a Master of Arts degree in Communication Disorders in 1994.  During her graduate program Ms. Ermgodts was awarded a Veterans’ Affairs Traineeship at the Houston VA Hospital.
