Undergraduate Curriculum
About the Minor
Requirements are 15 hours of specified course work, nine of which are advanced. Nine semester hours must be in residence of which 6 must be advanced. Students who are completing a minor in Communication Sciences and Disorders must earn a minimum grade of C in each minor course.
The Undergraduate Advisor must approve the proposed minor. Students can only take the courses that have been agreed upon by the advisor and the student. Students will be dropped from courses not in their plan. Neither the department nor the instructor will be responsible for tuition refunds when dropped from a course the student was not eligible for.
Students can NOT take courses in the department not on their plan.

- Phys 2340 – Science of Sound
- COMD 3381 – Audiology
- COMD 3301 – Deaf Culture
- Choice of the following [You must choose ONLY one of the pairs of courses.]
- COMD 2338 Phonetics and COMD 3371 Phonology
OR - COMD 2339 Speech, Hearing, and Language Development of the Normal Child and COMD 3383 Language Disorders
